Remembering Senator Kennedy

August 26th, 2009 by Lesly Simmons Leave a reply

With sadness, the Global Network acknowledges the passing of a true humanitarianSenator Ted Kennedy from Massachusetts. Although he is so deservedly recognized for his endless legislative accomplishments, we also remember him with reverence for his commitment to the worlds poorest, both domestically and abroad. We were fortunate in 2006 to have Senator Kennedy speak out as one of our first Congressional advocates for NTD control, and we continue to reap the benefits of his leadership on the issue.
