Back in September during United Nations week, the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), which was covered on End the Neglect. Following this meeting, a resolution was put forth by the World Health Organization (WHO) that would benefit both MDG 4 and 5 reduce child mortality, and improve maternal health, respectively. The Resolution includes a strategy to address the health of women and children, along with the establishment of a related Commission on Information and Accountability for Women’s and Children’s Health. The Resolution also requests that WHO Director-General Dr. Margaret Chan to see that the Commission is effective in making progress.
